George Eichenauer has been an employee of the City of Sylvania since 1973. He has served as the Director of Personnel since 1986.

Art Landseadel, L.A.
City Forester, Special Events Coordinator
Credited with starting Sylvania's street tree planting and Tree City USA programs in 1975, Art Landseadel established the Sylvania Parks & Forestry Division to improve the city's parks.
Through the years he established Sylvania's first recycling program, created the Sylvania Conservation Corps and designed Harroun Community Park. Art also has helped expand and enhance the Sylvania Historic Village and, with the Sylvania Community Arts Commission, increase the city's public art installations.
In July 2005, the shelter house at Harroun Park was rededicated as the Arthur W. Landseadel Nature Interpretive Center in recognition of his service to the community.

Municipal Court Judge
Judge M. Scott Ramey was first elected to the Sylvania Municipal Court in 1987 and has served on the bench ever since.
A native of Toledo, Judge Ramey graduated from Thomas A. DeVilbiss High School in 1966 and earned his bachelor's degree with honors at DePauw University in 1970. He received his law degree from Duke University in 1973.
Judge Ramey began his legal career with Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick in Toledo. He was admitted to practice law in the State of Ohio in 1973 and in the State of Michigan in 1977. He was in private law practice with attorney Charles Hunt in 1975 when he was appointed Prosecutor of the Sylvania Municipal Court. He served until 1987, when he was elected to the bench.
Since Judge Ramey was first elected he has, among other things, established a probation department, instituted a community service program, commenced a school-to-court program for fifth- and sixth-grade students in the court district, started a domestic violence counseling program at the court and, with other area judges, established a victim assistance program.
Judge Ramey was awarded the National Commission Against Drunk Driving Commendation Certificate in 1993.

Scott Smith
Director of Finance
Scott Smith was appointed Director of Finance and has served since January 28, 2008. He previously served as Chief Deputy Auditor for Lucas County. He has more than 20 years of public finance experience in positions with the county and the University of Toledo.
Michael Tansey
Information Technology Manager
Before being appointed the city's first IT manager, Mike was with the Network Operations Division of Verizon Communications. working on the City of Sylvania's early website and online records services. He was named manager of the new IT Division for the City of Sylvania in 2007.
