Dog Licenses

Lucas County requires that all dogs be licensed annually and wear a tag. The program is administered by the Lucas County Dog Warden.

Library Card

Visit the Sylvania branch of the Toledo-Lucas County Public Library to apply for a library card. Photo identification and verification of current address are required to obtain a library card with full borrowing privileges.

Online registration is available for new patrons only who are residents of Ohio and 17 years of age or older. Online applicants receive a temporary card good for 30 days, which may be updated to a permanent card by stopping at any branch and signing a borrower’s agreement.

There are several ordinances within the Sylvania Municipal Code regarding noise restrictions, including one pertaining to businessesdisorderly conduct and disturbing the peace, and general public nuisances.
