The Mayor
Mark Frye was a member of City Council for 10 years, 4 years as Council President, and a Sylvania resident for over 20 years. Prior to becoming a member of City Council, he served as a member of the Sylvania Municipal Planning Commission. His service to the wider community includes 12 years as a member of the Lucas Board of Developmental Disabilities including serving 6 years as Board President. Mayor Frye also served as President of Olivet Lutheran Church’s Board for 3 years.
He is a graduate of the Pennsylvania State University – Capital College and has been a Business Executive and Energy Consultant for many years.
Claudia Witkowski
Administrative Assistant to the Mayor’s Office Claudia’s first day as the Mayor’s Assistant was March 23, 2026. Claudia was born and raised in Germany, but has lived and worked in the Toledo, Ohio area for over 25 years. She holds the German equivalent of a JD from the University of Cologne – School of Law and a Master of Laws (LLM) from Case Western Reserve University – School of Law.
